Stand up paddleboarding is one of this nation’s fastest growing watersports, making it a real must try for any avid aquatic adventurer. A great alternative to kayaking or surfing, this exciting new watersport is a joy and there’s no better place to learn than in the surrounds of the Avon Wildlife and Adventure Park. A hands-on two hour introduction to paddleboarding is time enough to learn all the essentials from a qualified instructor. After a briefing hit the River Avon for some stand up paddleboarding action. Learn how to kneel, paddle, stand, balance and steer the board under the wing of the instructor – there’s even the chance to try out a real rescue technique. Who knows, before long, you may even be gliding along the river like a pro!
