Days out in London don’t come better than this! Experience two of the best attractions the capital has to offer with a fun-fuelled Thames Rocket powerboating session followed by The View from The Shard. Kick off by boarding the ultra-zippy Thames Rocket at St. Katharine Pier and hold on for a wild ride – take in iconic London landmarks such as Tower Bridge and the Cutty Sark and once in the high-speed zone, the skipper opens up the throttle for an exhilarating blast of high-speed powerboating action. After returning to dry land, head on over to The Shard and scale to the observation deck to see the capital from Western Europe’s tallest building – a view which is unlikely to be forgotten for a very long time. The perfect London sightseeing adventure!
Availability: Friday – Sunday throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: Duration: Lasts up to two hours, including the briefing, kit issue, around 40 minutes on the water and one hour in The Shard. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the booked time. Numbers On Day: Share the powerboat with up to 11 other passengers, plus a skipper and guide. A maximum of 200 visitors visit The Shard at any one time. Spectators: Friends and family are welcome to watch from the shore, but won’t be able to see much of the action. Spectators will not be able to enter The Shard without a valid ticket. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Lifejackets are provided (you may get wet). If wearing glasses, please secure them with a safety strap to make sure they aren’t blown away. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 10 (under 14’s must be accompanied by a participating adult). If you have ever suffered a serious back, neck or knee injury, we advise seeking medical advice before booking. Wheelchair users welcome, but pregnant women can’t participate. Other Info: All skippers are commercially qualified, with years of experience driving high-speed RIBs and are keen to show off the best sights the Thames has to offer. Take the booking confirmation letter on the day in order to participate.
