Contrary to modern trends of using 4×4’s for school runs, it’s essential to get away from the tarmac to find out what these mechanical beasts are really capable of. Drive extreme angles, negotiate frighteningly steep slopes and traverses and splash through water crossings on a specially designed off road course nestled amongst the stunning Kentish countryside. Begin with a safety briefing followed by a short demonstration drive by an experienced instructor. Then take the wheel of a powerful 4×4 (a Land Rover, Mitsubishi or something similar). As this is a one on one session, the driving is not shared, allowing plenty of time to really get to grips with this fantastically capable car. So go ahead and push those driving skills to the limit.

Availability: Seven days a week, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving dangerous (please call the venue if in any doubt). If this happens, an alternative date would be rebooked. Duration: Lasts around two hours including a briefing, instructor demonstration and at least 90 minutes of hands on driving. Numbers On Day: Apart from the instructor demonstration, all driving time is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: Not suitable for spectators, however up to two passengers can choose to ride in the 4×4 for a fee of £20 per vehicle (arrange and pay on the day). Drinks and snacks are available. Dress Code: We recommend sensible, outdoor clothing suitable for driving. Ground conditions are rough and a strong shoe with ankle protection is therefore advisable. No high heels please! Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age 17 and max weight 22 stone. Max height 6’6”. A full British or international manual driving licence must be produced on the day in order to participate.
