For a real thrill, look no further than this ultimate hovercraft blast in Cheshire. Capable of speeds up to 40 mph, these amphibious machines are pretty impressive – and with no brakes, it takes a fair amount of skill to race one of these bad boys! Start with a briefing before being kitted out and learning practical hovercrafting skills from a professional instructor. Once revved up and ready, it’s time to unleash those newfound hovercrafting skills on a purpose-built five kilometre course which covers both land and water sections – and fly. Race against the clock over eight laps in a bid to become the day’s quickest racer and make it onto the all-time leader board – awesome!

Availability: Friday – Wednesday throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: This experience may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions including flooding or high winds. If in doubt, please call the venue before setting off. Duration: Lasts up to an hour and a half, including a briefing, tuiton and eight laps of hovercraft racing action. Numbers On Day: Share with three other participants, plus an instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. The venue is equipped with toilet facilities and refreshments can be purchased on-site. Dress Code: Dress suitably for the outdoors with trainers or wellies (open shoes and steel toe caps must not be worn). All specialist equipment is provided and waterproofs can be hired on the day, if required. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 14 (children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult). Maximum weight is 18 stone.
