Learn the basics of white water kayaking while soaking in some of Wales’ most stunning scenery with this wild experience in Denbighshire. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the River Dee boasts some of the country’s most inspiring sights, as well as rapids that are perfect for putting kayaking skills to the ultimate test. Start with a safety briefing before being kitted out and taking the minibus to the river. Begin in calmer waters to master paddling and boat control under the guidance of an expert instructor, before taking on your first rapid. Once confident, set off on a three kilometre kayaking adventure on the river with the guide, and take on some of the most exciting stretches of white water that Wales has to offer.

Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: Kayaking goes ahead in most conditions but may be affected by extreme weather. If cancelled, a different date can be arranged (if cancelled several times, an alternative activity can be offered). Duration: Trips start at 9am or 1.30pm and last up to three and a half hours, with up to two and a half hours spent on the water. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with between one and 11 others, plus an expert instructor. Spectators: Dress Code: Please bring swimwear, a towel, a pair of old trainers and a change of clothes (no showers, but dry changing rooms are available).
