Description

Get wet and wild on the white-knuckle adventure of a lifetime. Take on the powerful waves of the official London Olympic Games venue (used for the London Canoe Slalom events in 2012) at Lee Valley White Water Centre. Pit determination, teamwork and energy against the drops and eddies, twists and curves of this exhilarating rapids course, armed only with paddles and the will to succeed. A raft guide will be right there with each and every team to help navigate, share tips and tricks and join in the fun.

Availability: Sunday – Friday year round. Weather: In extreme weather conditions, this activity may need to be postponed. Duration: Between three and four hours. Please arrive 30 minutes before start time. Numbers On Day: The raft holds up to nine people plus an instructor. Spectators: Dress Code: Bring swimwear and a towel. Clothes will get wet. Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets are provided. Wearers of glasses need to either secure them firmly or go without. Contact lenses are OK. Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age 14. Under 18s must complete a parental consent form before taking part. Maximum weight 18 stone. All participants should be comfortable in water and able to swim. Other Info: Participants WILL get wet, but there are hot shower facilities at the venue. Jumping from the raft into still practice waters is part of the initial training session.
