Prepare for a cooking class with a difference. Nature provides the freshest ingredients, and with this course you’ll learn how to rustle up mouth-watering dishes in the wild. A professional chef teaches how to cook with fur, feather, and fin all of which have been caught in the local area. Using some techniques that are generations old the basics of seam butchery, using just a knife, are taught. Cook delicious meals on an open campfire with a ground oven and a traditional hangie pit, which has its roots in New Zealand. After the cooking is done, sample delicacies with an accompaniment of bread straight from the ground oven. Refreshments and all ingredients are provided on the day.
